Bref historique : Officiellement créée suite à la réforme universitaire de 1993, l'Université de Buéa est née des cendres du Centre Universitaire de la même ville. Le CUB qui avait été créé en 1979, avait pour coeur, l'ASTI, l'Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (Ecole Supérieure de Traducteurs et d'Interprètes).
