1985 : Creation of the Advanced School of Translators and Interpreters (ASTI).
1985-1993 : ASTI remained the sole establishment of the Buea University Centre.
1993 : ASTI becomes an establishment of the newly created University of Buea. (By decree N° 92/074 of 13 April 1992 transforming the Centre into a full fledged University).
